Who I am

Hi! I’m Haley, and if you’ve found your way here I’ve already done something worth smiling about today.

A little bit about me- I’ve very often in my life been called “too much” or “a lot” and frankly these are my badges of honor. An empath at birth, I navigate the world around me with an intuitive desire to offer…something- anything I have.

And so I walked my path, from a young age I attended a summer camp centered around food and nutrition, fueling my future passion for food as so much more than just dinner. Using a food-as-medicine framework, I offer a unique perspective to the way we interact with food on an individual level as well as a societal and communal one.

During my undergraduate journey I studied abroad in Umbria, Italy where I pursued a certificate in Sustainable Food Production. This focus on intimate food systems and synergistic gardening led me down the path to full time farming. From urban farming in New Haven , CT to working for some of the most wealthy homes in Fairfield County to farming in the desert in Israel, I have a unique perspective on food systems and what it means to nourish your own life through working in the dirt..

And then there’s my rock- yoga. I first discovered yoga during my own journey with mental illness at a younger age. Yoga and meditation offered me an avenue towards healing. These pathways generated a connection between who I thought I was and my higher self. Yoga has somatic elements that integrate whole body healing using the power of breath and bodily awareness. Yoga changed my life.

Now- yoga doesn’t always have to be “that deep” / remember when I said I was “too much?” (;

Yoga is FUN- Yoga can be a powerful way to connect with your own sense of play, curiosity and joy. It can also be a grounding practice to encourage self reflection and physical healing. Whatever it may be, yoga is dynamic and it is for everyone.

I’m an ever-evolving and ever growing human- here are some of my certifications, there will always be more to learn, more to explore and more to enjoy.
